Black: Because we entered this life with a sinful heart, we are condemned to a lonely existence apart from God and destined for a dark and hopeless eternity.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. John 3:18-19
Red: Knowing we could never provide our own redemption and loving us so much, God sent his Son Jesus to take our punishment by shedding his sinless blood on the cross as the payment for our sin.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins. Col. 1:14
White: When we accept God’s merciful solution – believing that the Saviour’s blood is the only thing that can make us innocent and trusting Him to deliver us from our guilty condition – we start life over with a sparkling white heart.
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration. Titus 3:4-5
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
Green: God intends for us to grow and flourish in our Christian walk as we learn how He want us to live.
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. II Peter 3:18
Gold: Heaven! Our loving Saviour waits for those who have been redeemed to join Him in a place of eternal beauty and happiness!
And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. I John 5:11-12
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. John 14:2-3
Our kind and patient Saviour eagerly waits for each of us to accept the forgiveness he has offered.
"I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." John 14:6
